As President and CEO of CleanSlate, Marotta leads a national medical group that has been a pioneer in outpatient addiction medicine and which has become a significant partner on the frontlines of the opioid epidemic. Amidst the gravest public health crisis of our time, Marotta has overseen the continued rapid expansion of CleanSlate to meet the urgent demand for its medication treatment services in communities across the country. Marotta’s focus at CleanSlate is not only on expanding the company’s own capacity to save lives but also in leading the company’s public policy and information efforts to drive legislative change, increase access to care, and break down the stigma around the chronic disease of addiction.

Adam McPhee

Adam McPhee

Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Adam is responsible for overseeing ongoing and new center expansion operations. Prior to joining CleanSlate, he served as Vice President of Operations of the East Division at US Healthworks. During his 10 years there, he held a variety of additional roles including Regional Vice President of Operations, Regional Director of Operations, and Center Manager.

Tracey Cohen

Tracey Cohen, M.D.

Chief Clinical Officer

As CCO, Dr. Cohen oversees management of medical staff and guides and engages CleanSlate’s physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and clinical staff. She is a physician executive with more than 17 years of experience leading health care organizations to relevant and sustained progress in quality and value addiction and is widely recognized as a leader in primary care, substance use disorder care, health care integration, chronic pain management and safe and appropriate pharmacy utilization.

Anthony Belott

Chief Development Officer

Anthony brings 15 years of Healthcare Corporate and Business Development expertise to CleanSlate. As Chief Development Officer, Anthony is responsible for establishing and fostering key external partnerships and alliances that will aid CleanSlate’s efforts to successfully enter new markets and expand the company’s presence nationwide.

Neil Kunkel

Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer

Neil Kunkel is responsible for all legal and compliance functions of CleanSlate. Prior to joining the Company, Neil served as Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer, of Capella Healthcare, Inc., a private equity owned manager and owner of rural hospitals throughout the United States.  Neil has also held senior legal positions with other for profit hospital companies, including HCA, the country’s largest publicly traded hospital management company and LifePoint Health, a leading owner and manager of rural hospitals.

Diane M. Daych

Managing Partner, Granite Growth Health Partners
Board Member

Diane Daych is a managing partner and co-founder at Granite Growth. She has more than 30 years of investing, advisory and operating experience, with more than 25 years of experience in the health services industry. Before founding Granite Growth, Diane led Apple Tree Partners’ healthcare services investing team. From 2010 to 2012, she was a managing director and co-head, Private Equity, of the Marwood Group.

Paul Brown is a venture partner at Granite Growth. He has been an advisor for Well, Advantia Health, Swell and Vytalize Health. Paul holds the James Lee Sorenson Presidential Chair and is a professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business. He has more than 25 years of experience as a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, healthcare executive, lawyer and professor.

Mark Brooks

Mark Brooks is a managing partner and co-founder at Granite Growth. He previously co-founded MMC Health Services and Scale Venture Partners, a diversified venture firm with over $1.5 billion AUM, where he co-led the healthcare group for more than 15 years. He has more than 25 years of experience investing in, operating and managing high-growth health services companies, several of which have become market leaders.

Eugene C. Fleming

Gene Fleming is Chairman of Dermatology Solutions Group and serves on the Board of Directors for Aspire Health, Syus Inc., as well as CleanSlate Addiction Treatment Centers. A lifelong healthcare executive, Fleming most recently served as Executive Chairman of the Rehab Documentation Company until its purchase in May 2014 and on the board of PhyMed Holdings until its acquisition in November 2014. He was Chairman and CEO of Cogent Healthcare from 2005 until its acquisition in 2011.

Garheng Kong

Board Member

Garheng Kong is founder and managing partner of HealthQuest Capital. He has over two decades of experience in the healthcare field as an investor, physician, scientist, and engineer. He currently serves on the boards of Alimera Sciences, Melinta, Histogenics, Strongbridge, Laboratory Corporation of America, Duke University Medical Center Board of Visitors and has also served as faculty at the Duke Fuqua School of Business as a senior scholar.

Patrick J. Kennedy

Board Member

During his 16 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Rhode Island’s First Congressional District, Patrick J. Kennedy fought to end discrimination against mental illness, addiction, and other brain diseases. He is best known as the lead sponsor of the groundbreaking Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), which was passed with bi-partisan support, and signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 3, 2008.
